The chapter serves the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area and surrounding members from the North Texas Region. Monthly meetings are typically held on the first Thursday of each month and provide members an opportunity to network and enjoy professional presentations from the best leaders in the energy management industry.
Because the technologies utilized by our members are often similar yet sometimes vastly unique, we enjoy the chance to learn from each other and appreciate the talented professionals that provide products and services to the DFW region.
Please email a Chapter Officer if you would like to host, present and or sponsor a meeting.

Let's Talk About Water! We will have a thought provoking discussion on water: tracking domestic & irrigation usage/waste & mechanical system waste/savings opportunities. Data from varioius school districts has been compiled and we will discuss those with the group. You will be amazed at how much (and how little) other Districts spend on water! Where do you fall on that list? We will share ideas on waste prevention and techniques. With water consumption typically the 2nd highest cost in most school utility budgets, why wouldn't you need to know how to better manage it? Join us and our presentation by the A-Team from EMA.

We’ve been fortunate in Texas to have stable power prices for an extended period. Those buying opportunities have all disappeared changing the way entities make procurement decisions.
We will review the ERCOT power market as things continue to evolve with most of the change stemming from the Winter Storm Uri in 2021. 2022 saw an expensive and volatile energy market that has since cooled off.
We will cover the market fundamentals that are influencing power prices including natural gas dynamics, new legislation introduced, the renewables environment, and measure the grid’s performance from the early summer months. The Texas Legislature had several items on the agenda to address resiliency in ERCOT and we will cover those changes and what was approved to move forward.
All of this to provide a perspective to energy managers on potential future impacts to power prices. Come Join DFW TEMA and our host CFB ISD! Our presenter and sponsor is Energy Edge Consulting

We will educate the members of TEMA on topics related to energy consumption and energy efficiency. First, the goal is to help give an understanding of what 4 CP is and its impacts to school districts, colleges, etc. (Those of you who already know- well this is the time of year for a good refresher!) Lastly, this presentation will also share about Energy Efficiency programs that can impact our TEMA members which include: - Commercial Standard Offer * HVAC Midstream implemented through ICF * Energy Conceirge * Commercial Load Management
