I’m Adrian D. Carter, Board President of the Texas Energy Managers Association (TEMA) and a proud member since 2016. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest energy professionals in Texas—collaborating to make our schools, cities, and facilities more efficient, sustainable, and forward-thinking.

I’m a two-time graduate of Prairie View A&M University, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Industrial Technology (2000) and my Executive MBA (2015). My journey has been driven by a passion for innovation, leadership, and the idea that energy management isn’t just about systems, it’s about people, performance, and progress.
