Energy Manager, Klein ISD
Melissa has been a proud member of TEMA since 2015. She joined the Klein ISD Energy Management team in the Fall of 2020 with a vision of continuing to build a sustainable Energy Management program that demonstrates a commitment to conserving financial and natural resources while maintaining a safe and productive environment for staff and students.
Prior to entering the field of Energy Management, Melissa worked at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the Investigational Pharmacy. Once she realized that she had a passion for working with kids and teaching others, she changed careers and joined the world of education where she taught Chemistry and Physics for 10 years and then served as a campus administrator for 5 years. In 2015, Melissa was asked to develop an Energy Management Department & a new passion was discovered.
When she’s not at work, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends. She’s been married to the coolest football coach ever for 18 years and together they have a teenage daughter. On the weekends, you can find Melissa at the high school football game, road tripping across Texas, enjoying cookouts with friends, or binge-watching British crime dramas.
